What is new — and we already do it

Four things that became standard in 2026. We build them into every project by default.

  • 01

    AI features

Chatbot, assistant, AI search. We integrate GPT or Claude in a week. Not a 2027 option — clients ask for it now.

    Shipping since 2024
  • 02

    Core Web Vitals

LCP under 2s, INP under 150ms. Every site is tested before launch. Without this Google keeps you out of the top 10.

    Checked before release
  • 03

    WCAG AA accessibility

Mandatory in the EU since 2025. We design for it from the start instead of bolting it on later.

    Included in the range
  • 04

    Headless stack

Next.js plus Payload or Sanity. More expensive to start, 1.5–2× cheaper to maintain over three years. No plugin zoo.

    Lowers TCO

How much a website costs every year — real TCO

Development cost is a one-off. Support, hosting, and the domain are annual. We publish these numbers because hiding them makes no sense — better to know upfront than to be surprised a year in.

Minimum per year

With optional add-ons
232 400 ₴

Minimum required annual TCO — from ₴4,400 to ₴26,800 (domain + hosting + SSL). Everything else is as needed. The payment gateway (LiqPay/Fondy) takes a percentage of turnover, not a flat fee. Apricode technical support is a fixed monthly rate, no hourly surprises.

What determines website development cost — without the "it depends"

"How much does a website cost" is one of the few questions in digital where an honest answer can be "from $199 to $18,000" — and that's not dodging the question, it's the truth of the market. Here's what makes up that number.

Site type sets the order of magnitude, not the details

A landing page and a web app are different products, like a scooter and a minibus. There's a 90x range here, and that's normal. You'll know the order of magnitude after the first question in our calculator: pick "corporate site" and see the $890-$3,500 range with no call needed. The exact number comes after the brief.

Custom design vs. template — a 30-35% difference

Template design means adapting a ready UI kit to your brand: faster and cheaper. Custom design from scratch means research, wireframes, an original design system, and three rounds of edits. A template is often enough for a landing page; for a platform or a corporate site meant to last 5+ years, an original design is the better investment. Our design case studies →

Integrations — the biggest hidden factor

A contact form: $80-$200. Online payment (Stripe, PayPal): $250-$800. Catalog + cart: $700-$2,200. ERP or inventory integration: $500-$1,500. A customer account: $500-$1,500. Each item adds to the base price — the calculator above adds them up automatically and shows the breakdown by stage right away.

Timeline and pace — a separate multiplier

A rush build costs about 15% more: team resources get reallocated and parallel projects go on pause. If your deadline is flexible, subtract 5%. A landing page "in 48 hours" is realistic for typical scenarios: brief today, layout tomorrow, launch the day after. More on fast-turnaround landing pages →

Content — a separate line item that's easy to forget

Text, photos, translation are not included in the standard development estimate. If we produce the content, it's a separate line item. If you're doing it, plan for 1-3 weeks after the layouts are released to fill everything in. Copywriting and translation →

Why a range instead of an exact price — and when you'll get one

At the start, we give you a range, because we don't yet know the number of pages, the list of integrations, or how many languages you need. After a 30-minute brief, a fixed price by stage: design, development, launch. Any scope change happens only through an agreed estimate. No "extra work billed separately" without your confirmation.

Over 10 years and 500+ projects, we've learned: most budget disasters don't come from "an expensive vendor" — they come from the lack of a clear brief at the start. That's why we answer "how much does a website cost" twice: the range before the brief is a guide, and the range after the brief is a contract.
