Neobank development brings together the client product and the system that tracks the movement of money. The client sees an account, a balance, recipients and history. Underneath, every action has to be tied to checks, the financial ledger and provider responses. That keeps the path from what the client wants to the outcome of the transaction clear.
Apricode builds neobank software on its own modular platform. We adapt the setup to your model, whether that means private or business clients, currencies, top-up methods, transfers or extra features. Interfaces and custom features are built around these scenarios. What goes into the first launch is decided before we estimate timelines and budget.
More about the launch
Permanent accounts and multi-currency accounting
A neobank account exists independently of any one-off transaction. It holds balances, history and the link to a client or company. Each asset has its own balance, and reservations separate the available amount from funds waiting to be debited. Fees, refunds and corrections get their own entries in the financial ledger.
The neobank core ties each client transaction to its financial consequences. The team can match an event, a balance change and an external confirmation. A statement shows the agreed set of data on the movement of funds. Currency, document and display settings depend on your product model and integration requirements.
Top-ups, recipients and transfers
A payment account platform has to recognize incoming funds, link them to the right client and show the crediting status. A transfer depends on the recipient, a check of their details, the available balance, the fee and the confirmation. Internal and external transfers can go through different stages.
We also design for cases where the amount doesn't match, the provider declines or confirmation is delayed. Reservations, refunds and reconciliation show the actual state of a transaction. Virtual IBANs and other account details are integrated through the agreed provider, and we define how they link to the account, how notifications are processed and which transactions are available.
Cards through an issuer
To add cards, we agree on the issuer and the integration method. The software side covers the card lifecycle, limits, authorizations, holds, final debits, cancellations and refunds. Disputes and discrepancies have their own statuses and review process.
The payment card management system links these events to the client's account. The internal model uses card tokens, and the display and management scenarios are matched to the provider's capabilities. Virtual and other card types are part of the project only if they are written into the scope.
Companies, checks and permissions
For a business client you have to account for the organization, its representatives and owners, and the people who work with the accounts every day. KYC/KYB integration brings in check results and links them to client data. Decisions, review intervals and restrictions are part of the agreed workflow.
Permissions are split by role and account. One employee can prepare a transaction and another can approve it. The log keeps the history of actions. Responsible staff get case review, risk assessment and transaction monitoring through connected services. These features support the operator's processes, and the rules for applying them are defined for each product.
The banking app and client experience
Banking app development starts with everyday actions such as signing in, passing verification, receiving money, finding a payment or repeating a transfer. Every status needs a clear explanation. The client should see whether action is needed on their side or whether the transaction is waiting for external confirmation.
The web dashboard, mobile banking and the admin side share data, but each needs its own interface. Platforms, screens and the way they work with the API are chosen before the estimate. A separate UI/UX design stage helps test the structure of the scenarios before they are built. If your product already has an API, custom development of the client interface is an option.
White label and product growth
A white label neobank is a platform configuration built for your brand and way of working. We agree on the design, domain, pricing, roles, integrations and features. If needed, we add currency or asset exchange, partner acquisition and rewards. For a referral program we define what counts as a result, how a reward accrues and when it can be paid out or cancelled.
If the service only needs to run exchanges order by order, look at our crypto exchanger software. For a neobank, the foundation remains permanent accounts and everyday client transactions. The shared ledger, integrations and other profiles are described on the fintech development page.
Budget, handover and support
The cost of neobank development depends on accounts and transactions, the number of providers, the card setup, client channels and data migration. A system for private clients and a business service with several approval levels need a different setup. That's why the estimate is tied to defined scenarios and deliverables.
Separately we fix the platform usage terms, deployment, documentation handover, updates and support. The financial services model, authorizations and provider contracts are part of the operator's preparation. At the start we split these areas of responsibility and dependencies so the software plan matches the real state of your launch preparation.
