ESS Store sells perfume, makeup, skincare, haircare and body care. The catalog holds more than 200 premium brands, and the store itself is in English, with prices in euros. In beauty, shoppers often already know their brand and want to buy it now. The store had to stay out of their way: fast search, an instant cart and no extra screens.
Shoppers come in either from a category or from a favorite brand. Filters for price, brand and product type narrow the choice within a section. Search shows results while the person is still typing the name. Items go into the cart or wishlist instantly, and the counter updates across the whole page. Shoppers have accounts, and delivery is free from €50.
